Maria Panagiotakis 3rd Grade, Lower Division

Maria earned a Bachelor's of Science from CUNY Hunter College, a Master's of Science in Education, and an advanced certificate in Literacy Education through St. John's University. Maria became an educator because of her passion and love of children and her desire to make a difference in their lives. Maria is a big believer in helping others and hopes to inspire her students to make a change.

Maria has a passion for traveling and learning about various cultures and environments. Maria brings this love of the world into the classroom and believes that through travel and experiences of different cultures, we learn about the world and each other. From her travel experiences, Maria makes connections in the classroom and beyond with her students.

Maria attended P.S. 122 in Astoria and Long Island City High School. Her favorite subject in school was Reading and particularly enjoyed reading chapter books. One of her favorite authors is Judy Blume.
